Purchase a Windows 11 Product Key

Before you begin assembling your new gaming PC, it's important to take a few steps to ensure both your safety and the protection of your components. Here's how to get ready:

Prepare your workspace

1. Wash and Dry Your Hands

Start by washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water, then dry them completely. Clean hands help prevent oils and dirt from transferring to sensitive components, which could cause damage or affect performance over time.

2. Set Up Your Workspace

Place your PC case on top of a sturdy, flat surface, such as a table. You might want to use a placemat or a piece of cardboard underneath the case to protect both your table and the case from scratches or damage. This will provide a stable, non-slip surface for your build.

3. Ground Yourself to Avoid Static

Before handling any components, it's crucial to discharge any static electricity from your body. Static can damage sensitive electronics, so touch the metal parts of your case to ground yourself. This simple step ensures that you're not carrying any static charge that could harm your new hardware.

Preparing the case

Loosen the captive screws at the rear of the case holding the left glass panel and the right metal panel. Once loosened, carefully remove the panels from the top-rear of the case and set them aside.

Consider placing them on a soft surface, such as a towel or a cushioned area, to prevent scratches or breakage. 3. Remove the HDD/SSD Cage

Since this build doesn’t require additional storage drives beyond the included 1 TB SSD, you can remove the cage to free up space and improve cable management. Inside the HDD/SSD cage, you’ll find a small cardboard box. This box contains all the screws and other small accessories you'll need for assembling your PC. Take it out and set it aside in a convenient location—you’ll be using these screws throughout the build process.

Install the Bottom Fans

1. Unbox the Fans

Begin by unboxing the NZXT F140 Twin Pack fans. Inside, you'll find the two 140mm fans along with the necessary screws and cables for installation.

2. Position the Fans in the Case

Place the fans at the bottom of the case, ensuring the cables are facing the cable compartment (the side of the case opposite the glass panels). This will help with clean cable management later on. Make sure the arrows on the side of the fans are pointing upwards—this configuration sets the fans for air intake, pulling cool air from the bottom into the case. If you're unsure, you can gently spin the fans and feel the direction of the airflow to confirm.

3. Route the Cables to the Cable Compartment

Carefully guide the fan cables through to the cable compartment, ensuring they are out of the way for the next steps. Proper cable management will not only improve the aesthetics of your build but also enhance airflow.

4. Secure the Fans with Screws

With the case laid on its side, use the screws provided in the fan box to secure the fans to the bottom of the case. Tighten the screws evenly to ensure the fans are firmly attached, but be careful not to over-tighten and damage the fans or the case.

5. Connect the RGB Cables to the NZXT RGB Controller

Next, connect the two RGB connectors from the fans to the NZXT RGB Controller, which will manage the lighting effects. You’ll also want to connect the daisy-chained RGB connector from the pre-installed case fans to the remaining slot in the RGB controller. Install the CPU

2. Unbox the WD_BLACK SN850X SSD

Next, unbox your WD_BLACK SN850X SSD. This high-performance storage drive will serve as the primary storage for your operating system and games, offering lightning-fast load times and data transfer speeds.

3. Insert the SSD into the M.2 Slot

Holding the SSD by the sides, insert it into the M.2 slot at approximately a 30-degree angle. Align the gold connectors on the SSD with the slot and gently push it into the connector until it's securely seated.

4. Secure the SSD

Once the SSD is in place, push it down towards the motherboard. You'll notice a small pin or standoff on the motherboard designed to hold the SSD in place. Gently press the SSD down and secure it by pushing the pin over the SSD. This will hold the SSD flat against the motherboard.

  • Install the AMD Bracket: Take the AMD bracket and align it with the pump. Rotate it clockwise until it securely locks into place. Make sure it’s firmly attached to avoid any issues during installation.

  • Reattach the Plastic Cover: Once the AMD bracket is in place, reattach the plastic cover to protect the thermal paste until you’re ready to mount the cooler on the CPU.

4. Replace the Standard Cooling Brackets on the Motherboard

Now, prepare your motherboard for the AIO cooler installation by replacing the standard cooler brackets:

  • Remove the Standard Brackets: Using a screwdriver, unscrew and remove the standard cooler brackets from your motherboard. Keep the screws aside, as they might be needed later.

2. Attach the Fans to the Radiator

  • Position the Fans: Attach the three fans to the radiator. Ensure that the cables face backwards when the tubes are on the right side, and that the arrows on the fan frames point towards the radiator. This orientation configures the fans for exhaust, pushing air through the radiator and out of the case.
  • Secure the Fans: Use the 30 mm screws and washers provided to secure the fans to the radiator. Tighten them evenly to ensure a secure fit.

3. Connect the Main Cable to the Pump

  • Plug in the Main Cable: Connect the main power and data cable to the pump. This cable will power the pump and allow you to control the cooler via software.

4. Mount the Radiator to the Case

  • Partially Screw in the Radiator: Position the radiator in the case where you want it installed (typically at the top or front). Screw in a few 5 mm screws with washers to hold it in place but leave them slightly loose to allow for adjustment.
  • Adjust and Secure the Radiator: Once the radiator is correctly positioned, screw in all the remaining screws and tighten them fully to secure the radiator in place.

5. Mount the Pump on the CPU

  • Remove the Plastic Cover: Carefully remove the plastic cover from the pump to expose the pre-applied thermal paste. Avoid touching the paste.
  • Attach the Pump: Position the pump over the CPU, aligning it with the mounting bracket you installed earlier. Hand-tighten the screws to secure the pump in place.
  • Final Tightening: Use a screwdriver to evenly tighten the screws, ensuring the pump is securely attached to the CPU.

6. Connect the Cooling and RGB Cables

  • Connect the CPU_OPT Header: Plug the fan cable into the CPU_OPT header on your motherboard. This header is specifically designed for AIO coolers and will allow you to monitor and control the pump fan speed.
  • Route Cables to the Cable Compartment: Guide the remaining cables into the cable compartment to maintain a clean build.
